Recreation Meeting September 12 , 2001 Draft minutes
Attending: Brain Garland, Leon Davies, Betsy Katz, Paul Skarin, Amy Holobowicz, Patricia A. Halpin, Scott Blewitt
Meeting began 6:34 pm
John Augustine from Dexter’s Inn said Pickleball and Tennis went well this past summer. He is interested in offering cross country skiing lessons for a fee on Sunday afternoons. He wants more Sunapee residents to use the ski trails.
Amy told us about Halloween in the Harbor Saturday October 29. Project Sunapee will be hosting this event and needs volunteers to work the pirate ship. They want to keep it open later for middle school aged children. They also need help Saturday night and Sunday morning with cleanup.
Jessie Yates, Mike Platt, Sam Emery and Nate Emery came to talk about the skate/bike partk. They are interested in getting some more durable structures for the park. They will create a wish list with prices and meet with Scott to determine feasibility.
Scott discussed Chippers has given us a quote to trim the apple trees in Tilton Park. Brian Garland made a motion to approve $900.00 to pay Chippers. Betsy Katz seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Scott mentioned we need to go over the budget at the next meeting. He will make sure everyone gets a copy to look at before the October meeting
