Swing Set at Dewey Field was installed by Andy Nichols. Completely paid for from donations by Bartlett’s Blueberry Farm and GiGi Polley. Andy donated his time. Scott to send a thank you to all three for their time and donation. Dick Katz to take a picture of finished product. Possibly need loam to clean up edges and mulch has already been put in.
Dugouts at Dewey Field: Discussion of home dugout being longer to house a shed for field supplies and being accessible for coaches.
Clean-up day at the fields went well per Scott.
Dewey Beach Bathroom is coming along. The trees have been cleaned up. Framing has started. Discussion of a concrete pad rather than a wooden deck around bathroom. Concern with shoreline protection. We would need a permit for this change. Craig will be looking into this. Main goal was to save money.
Beach is all staffed for the summer minus an asst. beach manager.
Newsletter is done and will be out within the next few weeks.
Veterans Field: We all need to agree that the scope of work that was proposed is appropriate, then it can be public knowledge and we start taking bids.
Fireworks: email went out for donations. We need $10,000. We have 2,000 in budget already. Atlas will come to do a site inspection. Discussed ideas for family fun activities, and or vending prior to the fireworks for people who get there early.
The mountain bike race is being run by Will Hurley and Van Webb.
Looking for volunteers for traffic control during fireworks per Chief Cahill
