- SRKG: Gerry Gold came to the meeting and spoke about the Sunapee Ragged Kearsarge Greenway. It is a 75 mile trail, 1/3 is on town roads.
- They have a facebook page and send out a newsletter, the SRKG has been around for 20 years.
- Gerry was looking for people in Sunapee who might like to be a regular contact person for the trails in Sunapee
DISCUSSION: Any overnight camping on the trails? The only place is Mt. Sunapee Park Campground. Overnight is not authorized on the greenway. A trail guide cost $10.00
- Soccer wrap up: Last day Sat. Oct 12, 2013 Photos & Treats. Friday 3 & 4 Girls, Sunday New London Jamboree. 5 & 6 Ends post season. Tournament Sat 19th. Will be year-end pizza party.
- Tents: John reports that Lakes Region tent would cost $3,000.00 for a 30’ X 40’, and $1,000.00 for a 20’ X 20’.They would put up the 1st time.
- Charleen contacted Blood’s, they would have more information later in October.
DISCUSSION: The Sunapee PTO has purchased 6 12’ X 12’ EZ-UP tents and would be willing to allow usage whenever needed. The group liked this idea and chooses not to purchase a tent at this time.
- Turkey Trot: This will be Katie Flint’s last year to head this event.
DISCUSSION: Is someone willing to take over? The group will help out, Scott will send out information. No one person chose to take over this event as of yet.
- Budget: Scott reports that there are no major increases in the last 3-4 years, and does not foresee any new increases..
- K-2 Nov 16th -& 23st, off the 30th. 4 Weeks in Jan – Ends Feb 1st
3-6 Starts Beginning of November.
- Re-Visit Veteran’s Field: Motion to have Scott H from the Town make an estimate for repairs, specs, & elevation by Charleen: Seconded: Paul, All in Favor
- Halloween Candy: Erica: Motion to deny e-mail request that the Rec Comm put it in our budget. Matt: Seconded, All in Favor
- X Country Ski: John: does the committee want to do XC ski through Dexter’s Inn? Maybe a snow shoe race? TABLED: Need more information & costs.
