In accordance with the provisions of the Town of Sturbridge General Bylaws, Demolition Delay Bylaw, Sections 2.30 – 2.37, the Sturbridge Historical Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 6:30 PM in the Town Hall – Veteran’s Memorial Hall located at 308 Main Street, Sturbridge.  

The Publick House has requested approval to demolish the barn at 283 Main Street, Sturbridge to construct a new wood frame building to provide additional accommodations for the Publick House.  The Sturbridge Historical Commission has determined that this is a significant building as defined in Section 2.31 of the Demolition Delay Bylaw.

The purpose of this Public Hearing is to determine if the significant building located at 283 Main Street – Publick House Barn is preferably preserved as defined in the Demolition Delay Bylaw.  

Any person interested or wishing to be heard on this matter should appear at the time and place designated.
