Reminder about Sturbridge Town Elections
Sturbridge Interim Town Clerk, Lynne Girouard, has announced that nomination papers are now available for the Annual Town Election to be held on Monday, April 10, 2017.  Candidates must be registered voters and obtain 39 signatures of registered voters to be placed on the ballot.  The following is a list of the positions that are open:

1 for 2 years   Town Clerk
2 for 3 year     Board of Selectmen     
1 for 3 years   Board of Assessors
2 for 3 years   Sturbridge School Committee
2 for 3 years   Tantasqua School Committee
1 for 3 years   Constable                         
1 for 3 years   Board of Health                
2 for 3 years   Recreation Committee
1 for 3 years   Zoning Board of Appeals  
3 for 3 years   Library Trustees

The last day to take out papers is Friday, February 17, 2017.  The last day to submit papers to the Town Clerk is Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 4 pm.

Also, a reminder that the 2017 Dog Licenses are now available.  Male and female dogs are now $15; altered dogs are now $10.  Current rabies vaccination records are required to license your dog(s).  Applications are available on the Town Clerk’s webpage as well as on the Town Census.  Penalties will be levied after March 31, 2017.
