The Sturbridge Fire Department is pleased to offer the opportunity to register and obtain your Annual Burning Permit on line. Residents interested in taking advantage of this new program need to first log onto the Burning Permit website - http://www.massfire.net/brush/sturbridge.php#
Follow the steps listed to register and obtain your personal permit number and activation key code number. THERE IS NO FEE FOR STURBRIDGE RESIDENTS.
When you wish to burn, check the website daily to see whether or not conditions are favorable to burn. If favorable, follow the steps to activate your permit for that day. Residents may also call the Burning Permit Hotline at 508-347-2525 extension 355. If no answer, simply leave your name and your permit number after the daily message ends.
