STURBRIDGE TO DEDICATE TWO MEETING ROOMS
ON VETERANS DAY

The Town of Sturbridge will be dedicating two rooms in its Town Hall (308 Main Street) on Veterans Day, November 11, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.

One room will be dedicated as the ‘Minutemen Room’ in honor of the Sturbridge minutemen who fought for our country’s independence in the Revolutionary War. There were 19 men from Sturbridge who join in the fight.

The other room will be dedicated to the memory of Sgt. Joseph Rudolph Julian, recipient of the Medal of Honor after being killed in the line of duty on Iwo Jima in World War II following his heroic one-man assault on a Japanese stronghold in 1945.

The event will begin at 3:00 p.m. with refreshments and will feature a formal dedication, presentations of the colors by the American Legion and comments by elected officials.  All those interested in attending are invited to attend.
