Stow Board of Selectmen
May 2, 2016
Hale School Library
Present at the meeting that was held at Hale School Library were Donald Hawkes, Brian Burke, Charles Kern, Thomas Ryan and James Salvie.
Also present were William Wrigley, Town Administrator, Maureen Trunfio, Administrative Assistant and Barbara Huggins, Town Counsel.
Mr. Hawkes called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
Discuss Article 5 – Minuteman High School Building Project Vote to Bond under MGL Ch. 71 Sec 16(d)
Several members present mentioned their disapproval of the size and cost of the building project. However, after taking all things into consideration, including MSBA reimbursement, and the lack of an alternative option, it was determined that a majority of the Board would support the Article.
Mr. Salvie moved to vote in favor of supporting Article number five in the Town of Stow’s Annual Town Meeting Warrant. Mr. Kern seconded the motion and it was passed. Mr. Ryan voted against.
Mr. Burke made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:55 p.m. Mr. Ryan seconded the motion and it was passed unanimously.
