Stow Board of Selectmen
May 4, 2015
Pre-Town Meeting-Hale School Library

Present at the meeting that was held at Hale School were Brian Burke, Donald Hawkes, Charles Kern, Thomas Ryan and James Salvie.

Also present were William Wrigley, Town Administrator, Maureen Trunfio, Administrative Assistant and Town Counsel Jon Witten.

Mr. Kern called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

Discussion of Zoning Articles on Warrant for Wedgewood Pines
The Selectmen discussed their opinions regarding the two articles in the Warrant submitted by Joe Pittorino of Wedgewood Pines Country Club. The first article requests a partial rezoning (65,340 s.f.+/-) modification of a Recreation-Conservation District (Article 53). The second article requests a full re-zone of the Recreation-Conservation District (Article 54) on which the golf course is located.

Discussion of support of Nashoba Regional School District Assessment on Warrant
The Selectmen discussed their opinions on whether to vote in favor of or against the $15,774,863 NRSD assessment on the Warrant as Line 73 of the General Budget for 2016 (Article 6). Mr. Hawkes stated that he could not recommend that amount, knowing that it is not a figure that the Town can sustain as an accepted amount in future years. Mr. Ryan mentioned that, while he agrees with Mr. Hawkes, he would recommend support this year and hope that the school budget process would be watched more closely next year.

At  6:50 p.m. Mr. Hawkes made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Ryan seconded the motion and it was passed unanimously.

Respectfully submitted,

Maureen Trunfio
Administrative Assistant to the Board of Selectmen
