Minutes of the June 3, 2008 Local Access Channel Advisory Committee:

The meeting was called to order at 7:35 PM at the Stow Town Building.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the March 26, 2008 meeting were reviewed and on motion by Steven Dungan and seconded by Lisa Lavina, the minutes were approved unanimously.
Coordinator’s Report
Anne presented a summary of events that occurred since the last meeting.
Video Server and Other Equipment
Linda Stokes and Anne V had conversations with Michael Ridinger and put together a comprehensive reconfiguration of the Stow TV equipment racks, optimizing for a number of improvements. They proposed a list of equipment to purchase directly associated with the video server, and additional equipment to purchase for goals of human factors, efficiency, and better use of the space. Details of proposed server configuration are in the document “Station Equipment and Reconfiguration Proposal, 5/21/08”. Bob Glorioso made a motion that we approve buying this. Steven Dungan seconded and it was unanimously approved. It was suggested that the bids be sent out now but actually bought in the fall.
Policy Issue
People (such as masseus’s and chiropractors) are contacting us to have a series put on Stow TV. Anne feels that they are mostly advertising their particular business. Up until now, these people have been pushed off…all agreed that the policy that Anne is using, she should continue. Chris Funkhauser suggested a program can be done, as long as they do not advertise their product or service. Policy #5 is agreed as fine.
Assistant Coordinator
Valerie Pederson has presented her 30 day notice for Assistant Coordinator. Anne may look for someone to hire temporarily during the summer. She will post the ad immediately.
New Business
Bob Glorioso has the key to First Parish Church to store possibly a Video Cabinet or some permanent video equipment in the closet there. Lew would like to look at closet and see what will fit in it.
