05-11-06 Minutes
Chairman Dilley called the meeting to order at 7:07pm.  Those present at this meeting of the Pawcatuck River Harbor Management Commission, held at the Edythe K. Richmond Homes Community Building were:

Absent from this evening’s meeting was ex-officio member, Mr. David Forbes.
        
The April 13, 2006 minutes were reviewed and Mr. Smith made a motion to accept them, seconded by Mrs. Ballou.  Motion passed unanimously.

There were no harbormaster, or local, state or federal reports this evening.  The Finance Report was submitted.  A motion made by Dr. Berman, seconded by Mr. Smith to accept this report, passed unanimously.

Correspondence presented were two articles from a local newspaper.  The first article addressed the new law for removing derelict boats from waterways.  The second article was about Kids For A Healthy Planet, a study on nitrogen runoff.

Additional correspondence was a request by Mr. and Mrs. Ballou of Greenhaven Marina for a change in zoning classification from residential (RC-120) to commercial (MC-80).  The members of this commission had no objections to this reclassification.

Under Old Business, Chairman Dilley presented the changes agreed upon at the last meeting that he incorporated into the draft Plan.  These changes were reviewed and edited this evening.

In addition, further discussion on the Plan specifically addressed water quality this evening.  Discussion of changes, additions, and deletions to this section of the Plan were made.  Chairman Dilley will incorporate these for the next meeting.
        
There was no New Business to discuss, a motion to adjourn was made by Mrs. Ballou, seconded by Dr. Berman.  Motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 8:25 pm.
