Meeting called to order at 6:15 pm.
Those present and voting at this special meeting of the Pawcatuck River Harbor Management Commission held at the Edythe K. Richmond Homes Community Building were:
Mr. Scott Dilley, Chairman Mr. Steven Schaub, Alternate Member
Mrs. Joyce Ballou, Regular Member
Mr. George Smith, Regular Member
Absent were: Dr. Richard Berman, Regular Member
Mr. Bernie Chalecki, Regular Member
Harbormaster David Forbes, Ex-officio Member
Mr. Dilley appointed Alternate Mr. Schaub as a voting member of this commission in place of Dr. Berman.
The first item up for discussion is the 2006/2007 budget. Mr. Dilley never received the notice that was mailed to him on November 18, 2005, hence, the need for a special meeting and the lateness of this issue being discussed.
Since it appears we may be close to the completion of a Plan for the Pawcatuck River, it was agreed that a line item should be added for Advertising. We will need funds to notify the public of any workshops to be held prior to submitting the final Plan to the DEP for review. Total budget amount will stay the same as last year but the proposed budget reflects redistribution of funds. Mr. Schaub made a motion to accept the changes as discussed. Seconded by Mr. Smith and passed unanimously.
The second item discussed was whether to cancel the February Regular Meeting. Mr. Dilley and Mrs. Ballou will not be available in February so Mr. Schaub made a motion to cancel the February meeting. This was seconded by Mr. Smith and passed unanimously.
Both topics having been covered, a motion to adjourn at 7:00pm was made by Mrs. Ballou. Seconded by Mr. Smith and passed unanimously.
