The Stonington Board of Selectmen held a special meeting on this day at 12:30 p.m. at the Stonington Town Hall. Present were First Selectman William S. Brown, Selectman Peter L. Balestracci and Selectman Stephen E. Bessette. Also present was the Director of Public Works, Joe Bragaw.
(1) Call to Order
Mr. Brown called the meeting to order at 12:30 p.m.
(2) Comments from the Public - none
(3) Bid Award – Mason’s Island Bridge Repair
Mr. Brown read a letter to the Board of Selectmen from Joe Bragaw,
Director of Public Works, recommending that the bid for the repair of
Mason’s Island Bridge be awarded to the low bidder. The low bidder
was Northern Construction from North Weymouth, Massachussetts.
Mr. Balestracci moved to award the contract to the low bidder,
Northern Construction. Mr. Bessette seconded the motion and it was
voted unanimously to award this low bid to Northern Construction.
(4) There being no further business to come before the Board, the special
meeting was adjourned at 12:36 p.m.
