The Stonington Board of Selectmen held a special meeting on this date at 3:00 p.m. at the Stonington Town Hall. Present were First Selectman William S. Brown; Selectman Peter L. Balestracci; and Selectman Stephen E. Bessette participated via telephone conference call (on speaker phone). Also present was Danielle Muller; a student of Stonington High School.
(1) Call to Order
Mr. Brown called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
(2) Comments from the Public - None.
(3) Consider and act on bid award for renovations to the Town Clerk’s Office
A letter dated March 28, 2006 was received from Director of Finance Maryanna Stevens, stating that Bob Marston, Marston Construction was the only bidder for the renovations to be done in the Town Clerk’s office. The bid is also below the budgeted amount for this project. She requests that the Board of Selectmen award the bid for renovations to the Town Clerk’s office to the low bidder, Bob Marston, Marston Construction.
A motion was made by Mr.Balestracci, seconded by Mr. Bessette and unanimously voted to award the bid for renovations to Bob Marston, Marston Construction as outlined in the correspondence received from Maryanna Stevens, and to waive all permit fees associated with the project.

There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 3:05 p.m.
