The Stonington Board of Selectmen held a special meeting on this date at 3:30 p.m. at the Stonington Town Hall. Present was First Selectman William S. Brown; Selectman Peter L. Balestracci; and Selectman Stephen E. Bessette participated via telephone conference call (on speaker phone).
(1) Call to Order
Mr. Brown called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m.
(2) Comments from the Public - None.
(3) Consider and act on bid award for police vehicles
A memo dated March 10, 2006 was received from Captain Jerry Desmond, stating that the Board of Police Commissioners endorsed the selection of Ford of Branford as the dealership to be awarded the bid for new police cars this year. He requests that the Board of Selectmen award the bid for new police cruisers to the low bidder, Ford of Branford.
A motion was made by Mr. Bessette, seconded by Mr. Balestracci and unanimously voted to award the bid for new police vehicles to Ford of Branford as outlined in correspondence from Captain Desmond.

There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 3:35 p.m.
