Budget Committee Meeting
March 25, 2015

Meeting opened at 6:00 pm
There is a quorum in attendance, therefore we are able to hold a meeting, however we will need a quorum vote (4-0) to pass any items tonight.
A representative from the School House Arts Center was present to ask for a Town Donation of $2,000 to help with outside repairs of the building and installation of handicap accessible restrooms. Last year, funds raised completed the handicap-accessible ramp into the building and restoration of the theater inside. The representative said they have some other fundraisers planned for this year including grants and sponsorships from area businesses, taking donations during shows and “Teens Help” community-based fundraisers. Ronald Richardson suggested they contact Linda Brooks and the Summer Spectacular group and perhaps hold one of their fundraisers during this community project.

There was discussion regarding the 8% salary increase. This is to bring salaries in line with what others are making.

Code Enforcement:
A $5,000 consulting fee was added for outside independent review if needed. This is a pass-through item.

There is a large increase under new equipment ($4,000) for security cameras to be added in the Clerk’s Office.

A motion was made and seconded to adjourn at 7:55 pm and return to continue with the other items for review on Monday, March 30th at 6:00 pm.
