Standish Budget Committee

The meeting of the Standish Budget Committee was called to order at 6:00 pm.
Attendance - Carolyn Brown, Jane Cirone, Martha Hurd-Call, Katherine Post, Ronald Richardson, Walter Wasson - all present
The following Officers were elected for this Budget Review session:
Jane Cirone - Chairperson
Walter Wasson - Vice Chairperson
Katherine Pot - Secretary
The meeting was held to review the Budget Committee's role and responsibilities.
The following meetings were scheduled
Monday 3/31/14 - 6:00
Wednesday 4/2/14 - 6:00
Thursday 4/3/14 - 6:00 (if necessary)
There was discussion concerning the Town's failure to adequately notify the Budget Committee members about the meeting on Saturday, March 15, 2014. Most Budget Committee members were not able to attend due to prior commitments and therefore were not able to ask the Town Department Managers any questions.
The committee members asked the Chairperson to review some items with the Town Council to clarify those items within the budget. The committee members will thoroughly review the FY15 budget and bring suggestions/revisions to the next meeting on March 31, 2014.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 pm
