Chairman Richard Aries called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The following actions were taken during the August 11, 2014 Special Meeting of the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA).
B. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Clark Estates, Clark Street – Approval to connect
Mr. Robert Mannarino of Mannarino Builders, Inc. was in attendance presenting this application. He explained that the site is a 6.16 acre parcel on the east side of Clark Street in South Windsor. This project consists of eighteen single-family detached residences. This project has been approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Inland/Wetlands Commission. Mr. Mannarino explained that they propose to connect to the public sewer available on Clark Street.
Mr. Fred Shaw explained that this application was reviewed in house by Town staff; this project is consistent with the South Windsor’s Sanitary Sewer Service Area map. Mr. Shaw commented that due to the length of the lateral for unit number 3, there should be a cleanout installed.
Motion was made to approve the application as presented for connection of a proposed single family residential development to the Town of South Windsor public sewerage system on Clark Street, as more specifically shown on plans entitled “Clark Estates, Proposed Single Family Residential Development, Clark Estates, Prepared for Mannarino Builders, Inc.”; Prepared by Alford Associates, Inc., Windsor, CT; Sheet No.: PP-1 “Plan/Profile”, Dated: May 20, 2014. This approval is subject to the following condition: 1- A cleanout will be installed on the proposed lateral for unit number 3.
