CALL TO ORDER: 7:40 pm
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes from 6/15/2010 approved by consensus.
OLD BUSINESS:
- Report on Status of Pending Property Purchases – Chairperson Warren informed the Commission that the Nelson property has been acquired by the Town. The specifics of acreage and structures were unclear; however, we’ll have more information at the next SWALPAC meeting.
OTHER BUSINESS:
- The idea of contacting 4-90 owners to learn their current plans for their property was discussed. Commissioners Shepard and Warren will do some research for the next meeting.
- Commissioner Shepard discussed the recent preservation efforts on the Peck, Raymond and Shepard parcels as an example of innovative concepts for future SWALPAC efforts. Undoubtedly, we will have parcels which are not as simple as, “I want to sell it to the Town at a reduced price”. So think creatively.
