REGULAR MEETING – June 15, 2009
The meeting was called to order at 7:34 p.m. and opened by saying the Pledge of Allegiance.
ATTENDEES:
Herb Asplund, Leonard Glasser, Robert Moeller, Peter Anthony, Terri Kyc, John Stonoha, James Throwe and Doris Avery.
MINUTES:
The May 18, 2009 minutes were approved after making the correction: under “Flag Day Ceremony” change the time from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
CORRESPONDENCE: None.
TREASURER’S REPORT: As of 6/10/09, $1,705.33. Less $375.00 – essay contest prizes. Copy filed with Secretary.

Veteran’s Day Ceremony: November 11, 2009 – no action

Evening In The Park: May 16, 2009
No Report. NOTE: John reported that he had a conversation with the mayor and that he the (major) would like to be more involved in this event. We need to do better advertising for this event.
Memorial Day Parade: May 25, 2009
The Grand Marshall this year was Brian Clark. Everything turned out quite well and the weather was very good.
It was noted that, Sue Rose, member of the Community Band, if we need a trumpet player, to call her. This year’s taps was a recording.
Flag Day Ceremony: June 14, 2009
John Stonoha reported that this event went very well. Looking to get more participation for next year’s event. Perhaps get a boy scout to do an Eagle Project.
OLD BUSINESS: None.
NEW BUSINESS: None.
All present members went to Town Council Chambers to be present for the 1st place Essay Contest Winners as they read their entries.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:00.
Our next regular meeting will be September 21, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.
