New Business

Pat Botteran attended the police demonstration on what to do if a resident comes to a meeting with a gun. She reported it was well done and very realistic.  The best thing to do is not panic.

Herb Asplund reported that he and Roy Normen met with Jeff Folger on the design of the boardwalk since it was close to the Land Trust property.  George Caye said Walk and Wheels discussed this plan also.  Inlands Wetlands has concerns over mountain bike damage to a 5ft wide trail. Jeff Folger responded that he might have funds for an 8 ft. wide trail.  He needs a shovel ready project to get the funds.

Sue Larsen mentioned that there was a public meeting about the Salemi property possibly being used for a magnet school.

Old Business

Betty Warren said the PA 490 letters were being handled by Jeff Folger.

Pat Botteron had no property updates to report.

Pat Botteron wanted to know if everyone would like her to request a replacement for Councilor Kathy Hale. Herb Asplund said we should get Mayor Pelkey to appoint one.

Pat Botteron, Betty Warren, Roy Normen and Jeff Folger will work together to get the information meeting planned. Karl said that farmers may not be willing to attend in April because of planting season.

Pat Botteron showed everyone a real estate clipping that showed Open Space as an asset to the potential buyer.

CT Trail days are June 4th and 5th. We will be participating on June 5th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.  We will have the usual promotion of Open Space and sell pocket field guides.

Jeff Folger presented the updated maps.  Everyone approved it.  The only concern was the key colors being darker than the map color.  Jeff will post a map in the library.

Matt Galligan is looking for funds to demolish the barn on the Nelson property.

Cornerstone is still in the hands of the town attorney.

Karl Reichle thanked Pat Botteron for writing such a nice letter to Kathy Hale on behalf of OSTF.
