Minutes of the Meeting
March 1, 2010

Attendance: Pat Botteron, Sue Larsen, Roy Normen, Marcia Banach, Betty Warren, Herb Asplund, Louise Evans, Carol Heffler, Karl Reichle, George Caye
Chairman Pat Botteron called the meeting to order at 5:38 pm.

NONE
Acceptance of Minutes
Minutes of the January meeting were accepted as amended.
New Business
Jeff Folger ordered 600-1000 small trees for Earth Day. He will need some help from us to bundle and put the trees in gel. This will be done on April 23rd.
Roy Normen met Attorney Breslault and he was receptive to giving a presentation to the town council. Roy is concerned we are not getting any better deals. Pat and Roy will meet with Matt Galligan.
Karl Reichle reported a new sign on Clark Street was erected. The old sign is still there.
Pat spoke with Ginny Hole from the Walk, Wheels and Way Club. Their plan is up for approval tonight. She also mentioned some trees are down on the paths and should be removed.
Earth Day:
Betty Warren asked if we could use the water works demonstration. Karl said that no overtime would be approved at this time. Herb thought we could possibly get some volunteers for the day. Maybe Kathy Hale could write a resolution to allow overtime for the day. Louise reported that the Lutz Museum was too costly. Several members thought we could get funding from places like the Rotary, Rockville Bank, DST and target. We will talk to Commander Matt Reed to see if we could get Officer Robin Bond with the stuffed coyote. Pat mentioned children’s activities like a word search, coloring book, name the owl contest and find the tree search. Pat also mentioned a leaflet that would have maps of the big parcels in it. We should have a poster at the event with snap shots of the
Parks.

Our next meeting will be April 5th.
