1. Call to Order
2. Acceptance April minutes
3. Review of Mission Statement...Karen Wager shared revised HRC Mission Statement.
minor changes were suggested
The Mission Statement was well done
Karen will forward the amended copy for posting on the town web site
4. "Warm Communities" Update...on 5/21 the Mayor, Chief, Charlie will accept the donation of 160 pairs of hand warmer from Manoj Tripathty
on behalf of Tata Consultant Services
5. Getting to Know Your Neighbors......Nilofer will organize a planning meeting for the Pakistani program
on Oct 8, 2015
Turkish group is interested in presenting in January 2016
6. HRC Photo Contest... subject of the next HRC Annual Photo Contest is "South Windsor At Play"
Mary will write a short explanation for inclusion in the flyer/web site
Rules will be strictly enforced; deviation from rules will result in disqualification

photographers will be allowed to enter 3 prints
Karen Patterson will revise the flyer
7. Park Bench Project...Charlie met with Ray Favreau about the project
first bench will be designated for the old post office on Main St.
P & R will investigate the best method of construction for the benches
artists will be given a stipend to cover expenses
Ray and John will go to Manchester to determine materials, paint, etc.
P & R will deliver/pick-up bench to the home of the winner
Bench and design will become the property of the town
Mary shared guidelines from a similar contest
Karen Patterson will design a flyer
The contest will be announced in Sept.
8. Miscellaneous... we are pleased to welcome Nilofer back to the HRC
Karen Wagner indicated that her name was spelled incorrectly
Karen W suggested that next year's annul report have captions to accompany photos
9. Since the meeting, Rick Starr has resigned. We wish him well and appreciate his contribution to the HRC
