  • Chair report –
  • Janice will be meeting with Dan Hanson and school principals on September 22nd at 2:00 to discuss support of the South Windsor Schools in the upcoming Poster Contest.
  • Family Awareness Day October 25th Puppet Show.
  • Revise/finalize Agenda for next year  (see attached)
  • a.  Discuss Puppet Show for Community Awareness Day,
  • b. Discuss/finalize details for Poster/Poem Contest
  • Kenya Rutland presentations
Discussed topics for the Poster Contest theme for the Elementary School
It was decided that the theme for this year will be:  “How Sharing, Caring and Respect Make Our Community Strong” for Grades K-5 will submit posters. ( Discussion took place on recommending that the rules specify “no group projects”)

The Middle School will use the same theme and again this year submit poems.

The High School theme will be “If I Could Change the World…..” and submission will be a poem.

Prizes:
K-5, 6-8 1st place $100.00 (for each grade)
2nd & 3rd certificates/ribbon
