Alternates present: Jean Klein, Paul Oates

CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Chairperson Macro called the meeting to order at 7:48 p.m. Commissioner Jean Klein appointed as a full voting member. Commissioner Oates left for the Town Council meeting.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
Motion to approve previous regular and special meeting minutes was made by Gary Pitcock, with modification to adjourn time of special meeting of 7-23-2008 meeting to 8:19 PM, versus 7:18 PM, seconded by Jean Klein.
NEW BUSINESS
OLD BUSINESS
Commissioner Walter Fitzpatrick moved to approve the Certificates of Appropriateness applications for storm windows and barn as submitted by Ms. Johanna Perkins of 1544 Main Street. Seconded by Commissioner Jean Klein, approved unanimously.
ADMINISTRATION
(a.) Only one proposal submitted for the Phase II survey of Historic Buildings. Applicant is from Iowa. Chairperson Macro to review.
(b.) Commissioner Gary Pitcock informed the Historic District regarding the Main Street Bridge modification over Stoughton Creek. He recommends Historic District write a letter requesting an open parapet vs. a concrete slab, which is a standard for general usage.
(c.) Commissioners agreed the status of Sadd Library should be further explored.
(d.) Vice Chair FitzPatrick read a letter from Mr & Mrs. Kerrigan complimenting the Historic District Commission on the Historic District Handbook.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn was made at 8:43 PM by Walter FitzPatrick, seconded by Jean Klein and approved unanimously.
