MINUTES REGULAR MEETING
CAUCUS ROOM TOWN HALL September 2, 2014

Members absent: Peter Jennings, Gary Pitcock, Walter FitzPatrick
Alternates present: Louise Evans, Caroline Taylor

CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Chairperson Macro called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and appointed Louise Evans to sit for Peter Jennings, and Caroline Taylor to sit for Gary Pitcock.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
None
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS
A motion to approve the minutes of the Public Hearing and the Regular Meeting of July 1, 2014 was made by Sandra Jeski, seconded by Louise Evans. The motion carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
None
OLD BUSINESS
1. Chair Macro reported that she had received confirmation from Mary Dunne at the State Historic Preservation Office that the application to the Department of Interior to become a Certified Local Government had been approved.
2. Completed forms for the Historic Resources Survey IIIb have been received by the Chair and need to be reviewed for accuracy. This will be completed in the next two weeks.
ADMINISTRATION
1. A Vibrant Communities Initiative grant of $50,000 was awarded by the CT Trust for Historic Preservation to study the future preservation of Main Street. A comprehensive team of professionals will work with the Main Street sub-committee of the Planning and Zoning Commission to complete recommendations.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn was made at 8:00 pm by Commissioner Jeski, seconded by Commissioner Evans and approved unanimously.
