MINUTES REGULAR MEETING
CAUCUS ROOM TOWN HALL October 6, 2009

Members absent: Walter J. FitzPatrick, Edwina Futtner
Alternates present: Katherine Foley, Jean Klein, Louise Evans
CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Chairperson Macro called the meeting to order at 7:45 pm and appointed Katherine Foley as a full member for purposes of this meeting to replace Walter FitzPatrick and Jean Klein to replace Edwina Futtner.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
None
APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS
A motion to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting on July 7, 2009 was made by Chairperson Macro, seconded by Jean Klein. The motion carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
Edwina Futtner’s letter of resignation was read aloud. Ms. Futtner resigned as of August 2, 2009.
Review and discussion of the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation Model Demolition Delay Ordinance – January 2008. Discussed forwarding Mr. Doogan a copy of this document for review. See if he can join us at the next regularly scheduled meeting to review with the Commission. East Hartford may be a good resource for our document. Doris Sussman’s daughter may be a contact. Consider again at next meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
Review of list for Phase II of Historic Resources Inventory. See attached list of properties discussed.
Business Directory from the early 1900’s may be a good resource – directory may be at the Wood Library. Chairperson Macro to contact Mary Donahue on some communication/inventory issues. James Sexton may be asked to come to a future meeting of HDC. Mr. Sexton’s contract expires May 2010. Barns to be included. Nancy Gardner’s original list was a ‘windshield survey’ only. ‘Map live’ website was discussed as a possible tool to help with Phase II list.

A motion to adjourn was made at 9:30 pm by Chairperson Macro, seconded and approved unanimously.
