CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Chairperson Macro called the meeting to order at 7:28 PM.

ROLL CALL
Completed.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Mr. Nicholas D’Aiello and Mr. Walter Kebalo.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING
A motion to approve the minutes of April 6, 2004 Regular meeting was made by Commissioner Pitcock. Commissioner Fitzpatrick seconded the motion. (Commissioners Fitzpatrick and Klein were appointed as Members of the Commission before the arrival of Commissioners Brady, Burnham and Tarr.)

NEW BUSINESS
In an informal review, Mr. Nicholas D’Aiello presented plot plans and elevation sketches for an addition at 1648 Main Street.  The commission was concerned about the impact of the size and location of the addition on the integrity of the original structure and suggested having the addition project to the rear of the property rather than to the side. A follow up letter will be sent specifying the details required to complete the application.

In an informal presentation Mr. Walter Kebalo of KF Realty discussed his plans for a senior residence development at the intersection of John Fitch Blvd. and Sullivan Avenue on 1.7 acres within the Historic District.  It would consist of 8 housing units.  The density, architectural features, the number of units, and layout were covered.

Commission discussion following the presentation concluded that a letter should be written expressing concern regarding the impact of the proposed development on the Historic District at its entrance.

OLD BUSINESS
Mrs. Candida Ryan decided to plant trees instead of the originally proposed fence.

A letter was sent on the Lindquist property from Building Inspector, Chris Dugan, giving 35 days from April 7, 2004 to comply with the blight and nuisance ordinance.  Chair Macro read the letter.

Chair Macro pointed out that the house on the corner of Sullivan Avenue and Pierce Road is planned for removal.  The Historic District Commission will request the town attempt relocation versus demolition.

ADMINISTRATION
Chair Macro requested member availability on weekend dates in order to schedule a guidelines review meeting.

ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Commissioner Klein at 10:05 p.m.  Commissioner Tarr seconded the motion and passed unanimously.
