A motion was made by the Chair to move directly to item #7-New Business. The Chair stated that the Town Attorney Barry Guliano was in attendance.

NEW BUSINESS
South Windsor Technologies Center is requesting a tax abatement under the Road Construction Utility Extension and Improvement Program. Town Attorney was present to answer any concerns or questions from the Commission. Chairperson Anthony addressed the questions to the Commission that was expressed by the Town Council.
The Chair thanked Town Attorney Barry Guliano for his attendance.
GENERAL DISCUSSION/CORRESPONDENCE
A discussion took place regarding the tax abatement proposals for the South Windsor Technologies Center. After reviewing questions and answers by the Commission to the Town Attorney, the following action was taken:
A motion to approve Tax Abatement for the Road Construction Utility Extension and Improvement Program to the South Windsor Technologies Center was made by Commissioner Lillis with the stipulation and interpretation made by the Town Attorney Barry Guliano. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Johnson and approved 5 Ayes to 1 Abstention, on a Roll Call vote, as follows:

Chairperson Anthony will present the approval of the Tax Abatement to the Town Council on Tuesday, January 20th, 2004.
It was by unanimous decision by the attending Commissioners that Tuesday, January 28, 2004 meeting will be cancelled due to the Special meeting. The Economic Development Commission meeting will be on February 25th, 2004 in the Madden Room.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:25 p.m. was made by Commissioner Murtha, seconded by Commissioner Lillis and unanimously passed.
