DEMOLITION DELAY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
February 5, 2015
1.~~~~ Call Meeting to Order:
The Demolition Delay Committee meeting was called to order by Chairperson Art Utay at 7:30pm.
2.~~~~~Roll Call:
- Members present: Wayne McKinney, Virginia Macro. Art Utay, and Walter FitzPatrick.
- Members absent: Viney Wilson.
3.~~~~ Outside Participation:
- Peter DeMallie, Design Professionals
- Bruce Devanney, Environmental Services, Inc.
- Billy Mitchell, Environmental Services, Inc.
- Wayne Gerlt, Attorney at Law
- Bob Urso
- Stanley Nadolny
4.~~~~ Approval of Minutes:
- Motion by was made member McKinney, seconded by member FitzPatrick, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on January 8, 2015. The motion carried unanimously.
5.~~~~ Old Business:
- Chairperson Utay reported that the edited report on the Town Center Initiative was submitted.
6.~~~~ New Business:
- Request for demolition of house and two barns at 135 Sullivan Avenue. The public notice was published January 30. The sign was put up on the property with a response deadline of February 13, 2015. A letter was received from the Historic District Commission requesting a delay; which triggers a Public Hearing.
- Chairperson Art Utay polled the members regarding the ability to declare the two barns as non-significant, effectively separating the demolition permits for the house and two barns, if no objections for the barns are received from the public by February 13, 2015. It was agreed unanimously.
7.~~~~ Administration
- A tentative date for a Public Hearing on 135 Sullivan Ave. was set for February 19, 2015.
8.~~~~ Adjournment
- Member FitzPatrick moved to adjourn at 8:25pm. Second by member McKinney. The motion carried unanimously.
