Minutes Caucus Room
1. Call Meeting to Order:
• Chairperson FitzPatrick called the meeting to order at 7:35 PM.
2. Roll Call:
• Members present: Art Utay, Viney Wilson, Wayne McKinney, Walt FitzPatrick.
• Members absent: Peter Jennings.
3. Public Participation:
• Ms. Virginia Macro, Chair Historic District Commission, observer.
4. Approval of Minutes:
• Motion by member Wilson, seconded by member Utay, was made to approve the minutes of the Special meeting held on March 21, 2013. The motion carried unanimously.
• Motion by member Wilson, seconded by member Utay, was made to approve the minutes of the Public Hearing held on March 28, 2013. The motion carried unanimously.
5. Old Business:
• Member Art Utay commented that he was working on the Demolition Permit application package and would circulate a draft in the near future. After the DDC reaches a consensus, a review with the Building Official would be scheduled.
• By-laws for Demolition Delay Committee were discussed; Chairperson FitzPatrick took the action to generate a draft.
6. New Business:
• A motion was made by Member McKinney, seconded by Member Utay, to determine the building at1146 Main St. a Significant Structure based on previous discussions and the criteria provided by Mr. Greg Farmer, CT Trust. DDC would invoke a delay and proceed to investigate alternatives todemolition.
7. Administration
• It was agreed that DDC regular monthly meetings would be the first Thursday of each month, starting in May. April 25, 2013 was also determined as a possible meeting date for further discussions on 1146 Main Street.
8. Adjournment
• Member Wilson moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 PM; seconded by member Utay. The motion carried unanimously.
