PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
July 18, 2011
7:15 p.m.
South Windsor Council Chambers
PURPOSE: To receive citizen input on the Amendment to Ordinance #152 – Patriotic Commission
Mayor Pelkey called the Public Hearing to order at 7:15 p.m.; and requested that the Clerk of the Council read the call of the meeting (a copy of which is attached hereto). There were approximately ten (10) people present in the audience.
The following individuals came before the Town Council to speak in favor of the amendment to the Patriotic Commission Ordinance:
Kent Carlson, 970 Avery Street
James Throwe, 1330 Main Street
Herbert Asplund, 56 Tumblebrook Drive
Bob Moeller, 203 Sandstone Drive
Wayne McKinney, 1118 Ellington Road
Following comments by the public, Mayor Pelkey called for a Straw Vote, the results of which were as follows:
Those in favor to an Amendment to Ordinance #152 – Patriotic Commission: - 6
Those opposed to an Amendment to Ordinance #152 – Patriotic Commission: - 0
The public hearing was closed at 7:30 p.m.
