PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
November 15, 2010
7:15 p.m.
South Windsor Council Chambers
PURPOSE: To receive citizen input on a proposed Ordinance, a “Demolition Delay Ordinance”
Mayor Pelkey called the Public Hearing to order at 7:17 p.m.; and requested that the Clerk of the Council read the call of the meeting (a copy of which is attached hereto). There were approximately thirty-six (36) people present in the audience.
Mayor Pelkey asked if there was anyone from the public that would like to speak.
Ms. Ginny Macro, Chair of the Historic District Commission came before the Town Council to explain the ordinance in more detail, as shown in attached Exhibit B.
Mayor Pelkey asked for a Straw Vote, the results of which were as follows:
Mayor Pelkey read a letter from Louise Evans who is an Alternate to the Historic District Commission speaking in favor of the Demolition Delay Ordinance, Exhibit C.
Those in support of a Demolition Delay Ordinance: - 14
Those in opposition of a Demolition Delay Ordinance: - 3
The public hearing was closed at 7:25 p.m.
