PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
February 16, 2009
7:45 p.m.
South Windsor Council Chambers
PURPOSE: To receive citizen input on a proposed Amendment to Sections 14-2 through 14-30 of the South Windsor Code of Ordinances Regarding “Fire Marshal Permit Fees”.
Mayor Pelkey called the Public Hearing to order at 7:45 p.m.; and requested that the Clerk of the Council read the call of the meeting (a copy of which is attached hereto). There were approximately twenty-four (24) people present in the audience.
Mayor Pelkey asked if there was anyone from the public that would like to speak, there was none.
Mr. Dick Kelley, 49 Rosemary Lane came before the Town Council and stated that he is concerned about some of the fees to the businesses in town.
As is the custom, the Mayor asked for a show of hands for a straw vote on the proposal. The results were as follows:
Those in favor of the Town Council Amending Sections 14-2 through 14-30 of the South Windsor code of Ordinances Regarding “Fire Marshal Permit Fees”: - 1
Those in opposition of the Town Council Amending Sections 14-2 through 14-30 of the South Windsor Code of Ordinances Regarding “Fire Marshal Permit Fees”: - 2
The public hearing was closed at 7:55 p.m.
