PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
February 2, 2009
7:30 p.m.
South Windsor Council Chambers
PURPOSE: To receive citizen input on an Appropriation of $606,705 of LoCIP Funds for Miscellaneous Drainage and Road Overlay
Mayor Prague called the Public Hearing to order at 7:30 p.m.; and requested that the Clerk of the Council read the call of the meeting (a copy of which is attached hereto). There were approximately twenty (20) people present in the audience.
Mayor Prague asked if there was anyone from the public that would like to speak.
Mr. Larry Torff, 521 Quarry Brook Drive came forward to state that he feels all road projects should be reviewed before appropriating this money and the $606,705 should be returned to the tax payers.
Following comments from the audience, Mayor Prague asked for a Straw Vote, the results of which were as follows:
Those in favor of the Town Council appropriating $606,705 of LoCIP funds for miscellaneous drainage and road overlay - 0
Those against the Town Council appropriating $606,705 of LoCIP funds for miscellaneous drainage and road overly - 4
The public hearing was closed at 7:34 p.m.
