PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES
January 5, 2009
7:30 p.m.
South Windsor Council Chambers
PURPOSE: To receive citizen input on a proposed Ordinance, an “Ordinance Establishing the Juvenile Firesetter Intervention and Prevention Commission”
Mayor Prague called the Public Hearing to order at 7:30 p.m.; and requested that the Clerk of the Council read the call of the meeting (a copy of which is attached hereto). There were approximately twenty (20) people present in the audience.
Mayor Prague asked if there was anyone from the public that would like to speak, there was none.
As is the custom, the Mayor asked for a show of hands for a straw vote on the proposal. The results were as follows:
Those in favor of the Town Council establishing a Juvenile Firesetter Intervention and Prevention Commission: - 4
Those in opposition of the Town Council establishing a Juvenile Firesetter Intervention and Prevention Commission: - 0
The public hearing was closed at 7:32 p.m.
