WORK SESSION MINUTES
TOWN COUNCIL MONDAY, JANUARY 5, 2009
COUNCIL CHAMBERS TIME: 7:00 P.M.
1. Call Meeting to Order
Mayor Prague called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.

Councillor Lisa Maneeley (arrived at 7:36 p.m.)

Also Present: Matthew Galligan, Town Manager
3. Public Participation
Mr. Ed Duclos who is a teacher and coach at South Windsor High School came before the Town Council. He questioned the Town Council if there would be anything done with the fields at the high school.
Mr. Bill Davis, 9 Ridge Road came forward and stated that there was an article in the paper regarding the artificial turf. DEP will be conducting an investigation and a report will be complete by 2010. Mr. Davis believes this issue should be postponed until that report is complete.

- South Windsor Ambulance Corps., Inc.
Mr. Larry Gormen came before the Town Council. He first reviewed the history of the Ambulance Corp. and then answered various questions from Council members.

The Work Session was recessed at 7:30 p.m. in order to hold a public hearing and then reconvened at 7:33 p.m.
Lengthy discussions were held regarding the Ambulance Corp. and Mr. Gormen answered further questions from the Council members.
The Work Session was recessed at 8:00 p.m. in order to call the Regular meeting to order and then the Work Session was reconvened.

At 8:19 p.m. the Work Session was adjourned by unanimous consensus.
