TOWN COUNCIL WORK SESSION
COUNCIL CHAMBERS SEPTEMBER 2, 2008

1. Call Meeting to Order
Mayor Streeter called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.

3. Public Participation:
Mr. William Davis, addressStreet9 Ridge Road came before the Town Council and requested that the speed limit signs on addressStreetDeming Road be replaced with stop signs.

5. Town Manager’s Report
Will be discussed the Regular Meeting.
6. Items for Discussion
A) Presentation by the South Windsor Fire Department regarding an Apparatus Replacement plan.
Council members went outside to the back parking lot of the Town Hall in order for the Fire Department to present some of their apparatus that is used.
Chief Crombie of the South Windsor Fire Department explained that the Town Council has received an updated Apparatus Replacement plan (Exhibit A). The purpose of this plan is to give the Town Council an assessment of the Fire Departments needs in the future. Included in the plan is a list of when apparatus should be ordered, and when it would be delivered based upon the date it is ordered.

7. Executive Session
Deputy Mayor Prague made a motion to go into Executive Session at 7:42 p.m. to discuss pending claims and litigation (regarding a prior Town employee). Councillor Maneeley seconded the motion, and it was approved, unanimously.
The following individuals went into Executive Session: Chief Gary Tyler, Attorney David Metzger, Mayor Streeter, Deputy Mayor Prague, Councillors Bazzano, Hale, Havens, Maneeley, McCann, Pelkey, and Yagaloff.
Councillor Hale made a motion to adjourn the Executive Session at 7:52 p.m. Councillor Maneeley seconded the motion and it was approved, unanimously.
8. Adjournment
At approximately 7:55 p.m., Deputy Mayor Prague moved to adjourn the meeting. The Motion was seconded by Councillor Bazzano and was approved, unanimously.
