TOWN COUNCIL                                                    WORK SESSION
COUNCIL CHAMBERS                                                JULY 7, 2008
SOUTH WINDSOR TOWN HALL                                 TIME:  7:00 P.M.


1.      Call Meeting to Order

Mayor Streeter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

2.      Roll Call

Members Present:        Mayor Matthew Streeter
        Deputy Mayor Cary CityplacePrague
        Councillor Gary Bazzano
        Councillor Kathryn Hale
        Councillor Edward Havens
        Councillor Lisa Maneeley
        Councillor Kevin McCann
        Councillor John Pelkey
        Councillor Keith Yagaloff

                                                
3.      Public Participation:

Mrs. Jean Lobaugh of addressStreet9 Valley View Drive came forward and stated that to save the town money, all tax bills should be sent out in one envelop, just as other towns in placeStateConnecticut do.  Stuffing of the envelopes could be done by seniors and volunteers.  Mrs. Lobaugh then stated that the town needs less million dollar projects and feels the Town Council should consider a project before acting on it.

7.      Executive Session

Deputy Mayor Prague made a motion to go into Executive Session at 7:08 p.m. to discuss personnel issues, (Town Manager review, and Clerk of the Council review).  Councillor Bazzano seconded the motion, and it was approved, unanimously.

The following individuals went into Executive Session:  Mayor Streeter, Deputy Mayor Prague, Councillors Bazzano, Hale, Havens, Maneeley, McCann, Pelkey, and Yagaloff.

8.      Adjournment

Councillor McCann made a motion to adjourn the Executive Session and Work Session at 8:02 p.m.  Councillor Hale seconded the motion and it was approved, unanimously.
