PUBLIC HEARING MINUTES

September 4, 2007
7:45 p.m.

PURPOSE:        To receive citizen input on a proposed “Ordinance Prohibiting Tractor-Trailer Truck Traffic on portions of addressStreetTroy Road and addressStreetBrookfield Street in the Town of CityplaceSouth Windsor.

Mayor Streeter called the Public Hearing to order at 7:45 p.m.; and requested that the Clerk of the Council read the call of the meeting (a copy of which is attached hereto).  There were approximately six (6) people present in the audience.

The Mayor asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to address this proposed ordinance.

Deputy Mayor Delnicki told the Town Council that Mrs. Rose Pastula called the Town Council Office to speak in favor of this ordinance.

As is the custom, the Mayor asked for a show of hands for a straw vote on the proposal.  The results were as follows:

All those in favor of the Town Council adopting an Ordinance Prohibiting Tractor-Trailer Truck Traffic on portions of Troy Road and Brookfield Street in the Town of South Windsor      -  4

All those opposed to the Town Council adopting an Ordinance Prohibiting Tractor-Trailer Truck Traffic on portions of Troy Road and Brookfield Street in the Town of South Windsor       -  0

The Public Hearing was closed at 7:49 p.m.
