PURPOSE: TO RECEIVE CITIZEN INPUT ON THE PROPOSED BOARD OF EDUCATION BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006/2007.
The Public Hearing was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Streeter. The Clerk of the Council read the Call of the Meeting (a copy of which is attached). The following Town Council members were present:

The following Board of Education members were present:

There were approximately 34 people in the audience.
Ms. Janice Snyder, Chairperson of the Board of Education presented the Board of Education’s budget. Please see attached Exhibit A.

Following comments from the audience, Mayor Streeter asked for a Straw Vote, the results of which were as follows:
Those supporting the School Budget as submitted to the Town Council by the Board of Education: 8
Those that support spending more on the School Budget: 20
Those that support spending less on the School Budget: 5
A motion to adjourn was made at 8:30 p.m.; was duly seconded; and approved, unanimously.
