PURPOSE: TO RECEIVE CITIZEN INPUT ON AN AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE #139
The Public Hearing was called to order at 7:34 p.m. The Clerk of the Council read the Call of the Meeting (copy attached). The following Town Council members were present: Mayor Aman; Deputy Mayor Streeter; and Councillors Barbour, Burnham, Delnicki, Fine, Havens, Lassman Fisher and Pelkey. Also present were Town Manager Matthew B. Galligan and Town Attorney Barry D. Guliano.
There were 3 people in the audience.
Mayor Aman explained that this Public Hearing was to address the increase in Building Permit and Trade Permit fees to $15 per thousand or fraction thereof of the cost of construction and the increase in the cost of a Certificate of Occupancy to $10.
The Mayor asked if there were members of the public who wished to speak. There being none, he called for a Straw Vote, the results of which were as follows:
Those in favor of the increase in fees - 0
Those opposed to the increase in fees - 1
The Public Hearing was closed at 7:42 p.m.
