The Town of Shirley will be holding a Special Town Election on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Offices, 7 Keady Way, Shirley, MA. The ballot for this Special Town Election will be to consider candidates for a Board of Selectman vacancy, for a term expiring May 2020. Those town citizens who wish to be put on the ballot for consideration for this position must contact the Town Clerk to receive nomination sheets. The last day and hour to pick up nomination sheets and to submit
nomination sheets is 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Nomination sheets must be submitted with a minimum of 23 valid town voter signatures.
Absentee ballots for this election will be available shortly. Applications for absentee ballots will be accepted now and are available at the Town Clerk’s office in the Town Offices or at the Town Library.
