No Place for Hate Committee
Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, January 4, 2011
5:30 p.m.
Present: Meghann Ackerman, Jeff Cohen, Lucy Corchado, Pat Liberti, Jean Rockett, Scott Weisberg (chair), Bonnie Weiss
Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Scott will be speaking at an event at Salem State on January 24 at 11 a.m.
Lucy suggested that next year, the City could also honor someone with an MLK Day award.
Event with Mayor Driscoll: Scott asked about replanning an event the Committee was going to host with the Mayor to let community groups know about No Place for Hate. Meghann said she had the last draft of the letter that the Committee had worked on in the summer and the beginnings of a list of invitees.
Bonnie asked if the Committee could try to get a notice about the meeting in the paper.
The meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
