City Updates: Jason Silva said the City has about $2 million to use for paving projects this year. Suggestions included work on Mason Street and Chestnut Street. The quality of the paint used to paint street lines was brought up and Jason said the company doing the large repaving projects used better paint.

Jason also asked for suggestions for the Capital Plan. Any project costing over $25,000 can be bonded. Dorothy Hayes suggested that improvements be made at Driver Park, which is named for William Driver who coined the phrase “Old Glory.”

The City received a $420,000 grant to work at Splaine Park. The City also received a Mass in Motion grant to fund healthy initiatives.
