Lifebridge Neighborhood Advisory Committee
Minutes
September 13, 2010
6 p.m.
120 Washington Street, 3rd Floor Conference Room

Present: Miguel Alvarez, Mark Cote, Jeff Cox, Seth Doolin, Bob Femino, John Femino, Sgt. Dennis King, Steven Pinto, Sgt. Harry Rocheville

Introductions: Everyone introduced themselves.

Homlessness plan: Mark Cote said there had been a meeting to set up an executive committee and committees to start working on the plan to end homelessness. He said the plan was to have a document for the plan in six months.

Neighborhood Issues: Jeff Cox said there has been litter at the High Street playground. Miguel Alvarez said more people have been using the park.

Mark Cote said Salem State students volunteered with Lifebridge and did a neighborhood clean-up last month. He said that will continue.

John Femino pulled out an empty nip bottle he found and said he wanted Lifebridge to clean-up the neighborhood better. After that, the meeting turned into a heated back and forth with most members saying that Lifebridge wasn’t necisarrily the cause of all the litter and other problems in the neighborhood. As the arguing continued, people started to leave.

Before leaving, Sgt. Harry Rocheville said most of the calls for service from Lifebridge were medical calls.

The meeting adjourned at 6:40.
