A Special Meeting of the City Council was held in City Council Chambers on
Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of taking action on the Community Preservation Act. Notice of this meeting was posted on August 20, 2012 at 3:41 P.M.
All Councillors were present.
Council President Joan B. Lovely presided.
#513 – COMMITTEE REPORT
Councillor O’Keefe assumed the Chair
Councillor Lovely offered the following report for the Committee of the Whole. It was voted to accept the report.
The Committee of the Whole to whom was referred the matter of placing the Community Preservation Act on the ballot for the November 6th election, has considered said matter and reported out with no recommendation.
On the motion to place the CPA on the November ballot the matter did not carry by a roll call vote of 5 yeas, 6 nays, 0 absent.
A motion for immediate reconsideration in the hopes it would not prevail was denied.
On the motion of Councillor O’Keefe the meeting adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
