MINUTES - 02-05-2009 SPECIAL MEETING
        A Special Meeting of the City Council was held in the Council Chamber on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 6:00 P.M. for the purpose of taking up Committee Reports relative to second passage of a Zoning Ordinance amendment relative to Special Permit for Land Based Wind Energy Facilities and Second Passage of an Ordinance amendment relative to Resident Sticker Parking. Notice of this meeting was posted on January 30, 2009 at 10:16 A.M.

        Councillor Veno and Furey were recorded as absent.

        Council President Paul Prevey presided.

#62 – (#674) – SECOND PASSAGE ORDINANCE RELATIVE TO RESIDENT STICKER PARKING

         Councillor O’Keefe offered the following report for the Committee on Ordinances, Licenses and Legal Affairs. It was voted to accept the report and adopt the recommendation by roll call vote of 9 yeas, 0 nays, 2 absent. Councillors Sosnowski, Sargent, Ryan, Pinto, Pelletier, O’Keefe, McCarthy, Lovely and Prevey were recoded as voting in the affirmative. Councillors Veno and Furey were recorded as absent.

        The Committee on Ordinances, Licenses and Legal Affairs to whom was referred the matter of the enclosed Ordinance relative to Resident Sticker Parking, has considered said matter and would recommend that it be adopted for second and final passage by roll call vote.

        Councillor O’Keefe moved for immediate reconsideration in the hopes it would not prevail . Reconsideration was denied.



#63– (#555) – SECOND PASSAGE ZONING ORDINANCE RELATIVE TO SPECIAL PERMIT FOR WIND ENERGY FACILITIES

         Councillor O’Keefe offered the following report for the Committee on Ordinances, Licenses and Legal Affairs. It was voted to accept the report and adopt the recommendation by a roll call vote of 9 yeas, 0 nays, 2 absent. Councillors Sosnowski, Sargent, Ryan, Pinto, Pelletier, O’Keefe, McCarthy, Lovely and Prevey were recoded as voting in the affirmative. Councillors Veno and Furey were recorded as absent.

for Wind Energy Facilities, has considered said matter and would recommend that it be adopted for second and final passage by roll call vote.


        Councillor O’Keefe moved for immediate reconsideration in the hopes it would not prevail. Reconsideration was denied.


        On the motion of Councillor O’Keefe the meeting adjourned at 6:30 P.M.
