MINUTES JUNE 23, 2004 JOINT PUBLIC HEARING

        A Joint Public Hearing of the City Council and the Planning Board was held in the Council Chamber on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 6:30 P.M. for the purpose of discussing a proposed zoning amendment to consider creating the North River Canal Corridor Neighborhood.  Notice of this hearing was posted on June 11, 2004 at 11:28 A.M., and advertised in the Salem Evening news on June 9th and 16th, 2004.
                
Councillors Furey and O’Keefe were absent. Councillor Sargent arrived at 6:40 P.M.

President Leonard F. O’Leary presided.

President O’Leary called upon Councillor Harvey. Councillor Harvey moved that the hearing be recessed untill we get the actual plan in a couple of weeks.

Councillor Bencal stated he wanted to give the Planning Board more time to prepare.

On the motion of Councillor Harvey the hearing was recessed. It was so voted.



The meeting adjourned at 6:40 P.M.
