A Regular Meeting of the City Council held in the Council Chamber on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 7:00 P.M., for the purpose of transacting any and all business.  Notice of this meeting was posted on April 20, 2007 at 8:24 A.M.
        

            Council President Matthew Veno presided.


       President Veno requested that everyone please rise to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Held from the last meeting of April 12, 2007 the Mayor’s appointment of Sarah Morrill to serve as a member of the Plummer Home for Boy’s Board of Trustees with a term to expire April 1, 2012.

Held from the last meeting of April 12, 2007 the Mayor’s appointment of Adil Nmili to serve as a member of the Beautification Committee for a term to expire April 1, 2010.

Mayor’s appointment of Kimberley Driscoll to serve as a member of the Retirement Board for a term to expire May 1, 2010.


COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR

ORDER that a Home Rule Petition for an Act authorizing the City of Salem to issue an additional license for the sale of alcoholic beverages for New Boston Ventures, LLC located at 50 St. Peter Street be adopted.
